Becoming Myself: Passion, Creativity, Resilience, Belonging – The Personal Project Exhibition 2024-2025
This year’s Personal Project Exhibition took an outward perspective to orient the tenth-grade presenters and their views of “becoming myself”. On the exhibition’s opening night on Sunday (January 19), Grade 10 students showcased the outputs and results of their year-long project preparation and production. The projects centered in students’ passions and highlighted their creativity, resilience, and sense of belongingness despite the challenges in the past years. The exhibition opened to the public on Monday, much to the awe of the visitors from the Keystone community and other IB MYP schools in the city.

Keystonians Scale Up Fun in Year of the Snake Festivities
The fun on the Keystone campus has been scaled up this week with several Year of the Snake festivities organized by students, faculty, and staff members. Earlier today (January 24), the campus community was treated to a hisss-terical extravaganza in the Keystone Temple Fair at the Secondary School (SS) Gym. And over in the Performing Arts Center, Primary School (PS) students have just finished cultural performances to usher in the new year. Yesterday (January 23), Keystone’s Dining team prepared a ssssumptuous Spring Festival-themed lunch for all students and employees. In the afternoon, the student-led publication The Voice gave treats and gifts to their avid supporters.

Keystone Thought Lab | Explores Science and Paths to Truth with Tsinghua Lecturer Geng Deng
A graduate of Tsinghua’s Department of Chemistry and a postdoctoral fellow in the institution’s Department of History of the School of Humanities and the Institute of Education, Mr. Deng tapped into his diverse educational background to bring moments that broke away from the traditional framework of lecture and academic sharing. He also used humor and insightful narration to lead everyone on a journey around the keyword “science”.

At Keystone Community Dinners, Boarding Students and Faculty Channel Respective Houses
Staying with fun activities before the end of 2024—the five Keystone Houses commemorated their sense of belongingness during separate House Community Dinners on different evenings in the last two weeks. At these special banquets, boarding students channeled their respective Keystone Houses for their attires. Each dinner also featured a sumptuous and themed menu.

Keystone Thought Lab | Reshaping the World: Imagining the Future with Silicon Valley Visionary Steven Hoffman
In the second session of the Keystone Thought Lab series, Keystone Academy students, staff, and parents imagined a future full of technology that may sound too good to be true. The session guest, Silicon Valley visionary Steven Hoffman, provided ideas and prompts to help Thought Lab participants think of the rewards and perils of using such future inventions.
